The Bakery, Kent
Planning permission was granted in late-2020 for the conversion and
extension of a Victorian bakery and guest house to form ten new homes in a Kentish
village. The project is a collaboration between developer Arrant Land, Blink Architecture,
and Brisco Loran.
The extension borrows the masonry and bandings of the original building,
drawing them through to create a red brick mass with clay tiled roof set atop a
pale plinth. A pergola skirts the entrance facade with the communal door
recessed beneath a welcoming clock
